Laser Resurfacing Face Before & After Photos
Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing results from Dr. Gehaan D’Souza’s Carlsbad practice. Resurfacing treats the surface and quality of the skin rather than its position, which makes it a different kind of before-and-after from the surgical galleries on this site.
What changes here is texture, tone and fine lines — sun damage, pigmentation, the crepey skin around the mouth and eyes, and the appearance of some scarring. What does not change is sagging. If loose tissue is the main thing you see in the mirror, resurfacing will not address it, and the case listings will show you which patients had it combined with surgery.
What to look for
These comparisons reward looking closely rather than at the whole face. Focus on one area — the skin around the mouth, the cheeks, the lower eyelids — and compare texture and evenness of tone. Lighting is matched between the two photographs specifically so this comparison is fair.
Downtime is real
Fractional CO2 is an ablative treatment, not a light facial. It involves visible healing time, and sun protection afterwards is not optional. Anyone planning around an event should raise the timing at consultation rather than close to the date.
