Eyelid Blepharoplasty Before & After Photos
Eyelid surgery results from Dr. Gehaan D’Souza’s Carlsbad practice. Blepharoplasty is a small operation with a large effect, and these before-and-after pairs are the clearest way to see why.
Upper and lower eyelids are different procedures addressing different complaints. Upper eyelid surgery removes the hooded skin that makes the eye look smaller and, in some patients, encroaches on the field of vision. Lower eyelid surgery addresses the puffiness and shadowing that read as tiredness. The case listings tell you which was done.
What to look for
Look at how open the eye appears and where the natural crease sits, not at the skin alone. A good result looks rested rather than surgical, and the shape of the eye should be recognisably the patient’s own. If an after photo has changed the character of someone’s expression, that is not the goal here.
When it is more than cosmetic
Some patients come in because upper eyelid skin has begun to block their upper field of vision. That is a functional problem, assessed differently from a cosmetic one, and worth raising directly at the consultation.
