Brachioplasty Before & After Photos
Arm lift results from Dr. Gehaan D’Souza’s Carlsbad practice. Brachioplasty removes loose skin from the upper arm, usually after significant weight loss or as skin elasticity declines with age.
This is a procedure with a genuine trade-off, and the photographs are the honest way to present it. Loose upper arm skin cannot be removed without a scar, and that scar runs along the inner arm. Patients who choose brachioplasty have decided that being able to wear a short sleeve matters more to them than the scar does. Seeing real results is the best way to judge that trade for yourself.
What to look for
Look at the contour of the arm with it raised and lowered, and then look directly at the scar. Where it sits, how well it is concealed against the inner arm, and how it has settled are the things that will matter to you a year from now — more than the amount of skin removed.
Liposuction is not the same operation
If the issue is fullness rather than loose skin, liposuction may be the better answer and it leaves no long scar. If the skin no longer retracts, liposuction alone will make the looseness more obvious rather than less. Which situation you are in is the first thing to establish at a consultation.
