Breast Reconstruction Before & After Photos
Breast reconstruction results from Dr. Gehaan D’Souza in Carlsbad. These are patients of this practice who have come through breast cancer treatment, and the photographs are published with their consent.
Reconstruction is not one operation. It is usually a sequence, planned around the mastectomy or lumpectomy that came first, the radiation that may follow, and the timeline of your oncology care. Some patients here began reconstruction at the time of their cancer surgery; others came back to it years later. Both paths are represented.
What to look for
Read these differently from a cosmetic gallery. The measure of a reconstruction result is symmetry in clothing, a natural contour, and how well the reconstructed side balances the other — which is why many cases include a matching procedure on the opposite breast. Where a result was reached in stages, the case listing says so.
Coming from another surgeon
Some patients arrive after reconstruction elsewhere that did not settle the way they hoped, or after complications. Revision reconstruction is a different conversation from a first-stage plan, and it is worth saying so when you call.
