As you age, your skin softens and loses its elasticity. This often causes your skin to droop and become wrinkled and saggy. However, brow lift surgery can lift the forehead and brows to reveal a more youthful facial appearance.
Endoscopic or Classic Brow Lift
There are two different types of brow lift surgery: endoscopic and classic. It is important to discuss your goals with Dr. D’Souza during your private consultation. This discussion will allow both of you to determine the best approach for this particular procedure.
During an endoscopic brow lift, Dr. D’Souza will make fewer incisions, and he will use a scope, which is a small tube with a camera on the end of it. Once the scope has been inserted, Dr. D’Souza will lift the forehead skin and use anchors to hold the skin in its new lifted position.
When performing a classic brow lift, a continuous incision will be made starting at one ear, going along the hairline, and ending at the top of the other ear. This procedure removes fat and excess skin to reshape the brows.
Brow Lift Recovery & Results
It is imperative that you rest and fully recover after your brow lift procedure. Dr. D’Souza will give you the proper care instructions to follow so you can achieve the best postoperative results possible. It is important to attend any follow-up appointments scheduled to make sure everything is healing and progressing well. Your results will become apparent over time, and with a continuous skin care routine, your brow lift results will be long lasting. Gravity and aging won’t go away, but your forehead and brow sagging should not be as apparent as it was before.
Can Brow Lift Surgery Be Combined With Other Procedures?
Yes! Brow lift can be combined with facelift surgery, eyelid surgery, and injectable fillers. Combining certain procedures can help to make your entire face youthful and rejuvenated. Dr. D’Souza will be able to recommend other services that might combine well with your brow lift so that you can achieve an all-encompassing look.
